Blue-footed Boobies and frigate birds

We took a tour to North Seymour Island and saw an amazing array of birds. We book a small boat to the island and had to scramble onto the land. We then walked around this flat island on rocky a rocky pathway and watched the animal life around us.

The blue-footed Boobie nests on the ground so you have to watch your step. They lay 1-3 eggs and the first egg is hatched first which results in a size difference between the chicks and only the strongest chick will survive.
We were able to get this picture as the mother got up to stretch and regulate the egg temperature.

They are cute but you are not allowed to touch any Galapagos residents.

This is a frigate bird male frigate bird advertising for a mate.
