We do have more pictures to post and more to report,but ran into a snag. I was diagnosed with a retinal detatchment while in Lima. Thinking it may have been all the hills, steps and Inca structures. The Lima doctor says I need immediate surgery and I can only see out of one eye, so the blog will be taking a snooze until I can see again.

I know Bonnie can't see well enough to post; and Dave can't type. But has anyone else had any word from them yet? How is Bonnie doing? Does she get the surgery in Lima? or evacuated to Canada?
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad got back to Canada yesterday. She went to a surgeon this morning and they stuck needles in her eye and iserted a gas bubble. We think so the retian doesn't detach further. They then told her to place her head between her legs and stay like that till tomorrow when she has another apointment in New West. There is talk of laser surgery. But for now she has to keep her face down till tomorrow. So she won't be posting until she can lift her head up. But so far she is uncomfortable but being served like a godess by dad.
